Breast Augmentation
Augmentation increases breast volume and in some cases re-shapes the breast at the same time. Some women lack breast volume or after pregnancy breasts lose volume and shape, or breasts may fail to develop properly in shape or symmetry.
Augmentation involves inserting an implant to enlarge the breast and in some cases correct minor degrees of droop. Those that are too large can undergo breast reduction (link to reduction) and very droopy breasts can be addressed with a mastopexy (uplift)
Mastopexy (Breast Uplift)
Mastopexy is an operation to uplift breasts and tighten lax tissues, this involves scarring of the nipple areola as well as in the fold of the breast.
Breast Implant Exchange
Women who have had breast augmentation at stage may require replacement of existing implants. There may be different reasons for this, age of implants, rupture or problems such as encapsulation.
Breast Reduction
Breast reduction is an operation to reduce the volume of the breasts, in many cases it also leads improvement of shape and uplifting. The operation involves scarring of the nipple areola as well as in the fold of the breast.
